Reports of a new virus begins to take hold of the city, an affliction the media dubs "technosis." At first, it manifests subtly: a flicker of static in the victim's eyes, an uncontrollable twitch in their movements, and whispers of fragmented digital noise that only they can hear. But as the infection spreads, it mutates the afflicted into violent, zombified husks. These creatures prowl the city, ravenous for power in the most literal sense, tearing into electrical systems to feed on raw energy. While most victims descend into an unthinkable chaos, a select few transform into something far more terrifying: technomancers. These beings retain fragments of their humanity, wielding the ability to manipulate the electrical currents that drive both machines and the infected hordes. The city is plunged into chaos as power grids fail, and streetlights flicker ominously, marking the approach of undead swarms when a technomancer emerges at the head of a rampaging horde, bending the energy-hungry monsters to its will, their electric-blue eyes illuminating the darkened skyline.
