Theodor George Henry Strehlow (6 June 1908 3 October 1978) was an anthropologist who studied the Arrernte (Aranda, Arunta) Australian Aborigines in Central Australia. He was considered a member of the Arrernte people, by dint of his ritual adoption by the tribe. He married twice, to Bertha James, in Prospect 21 December 1935, who bore him three children, Theo, Shirley and John, and Kathleen Stuart in 1972, who bore him a son, Carl.
