Jesus is the reason for the season, and the reason for all seasons. The Bible teaches us, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" Genesis 1:1. And in John's Gospel 1:1, we ¿nd, "When the world had its beginning, the Word was already there, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Christmas season is a reminder to children and adults that "The Word", who is Jesus Christ, came from Heaven to this earth in order to become the Saviour to every person who is willing to believe and put their trust in Him. These Bible stories related to the nativity are unequaled in literature. Four human-interest stories reveal how children can connect to Jesus through faith and also through adversity. Autorenporträt
Wade T. Burton has served as a Southern Baptist minister for more than fifty-seven years in South Carolina. He received his formal education at Erskine College and Seminary. He has written two other books: One was a daily devotional entitled, "Think on These Things," plus a book of eighteen sermons, "Messages with A Mission." In most of his pastorates he would present Kids' Korner at Morning Worship. This was a special time with the children when they would be invited to come to the front pew. Pastor Burton would delight in sharing a simple object lesson that the children could easily understand. These intimate lessons endeared him to the children that he loved. It is his prayer that these Christmas stories will bless the children with faith in Christ and faithfulness to God.
