This book is a valuable contribution to the cause of temperance. It is one more keen weapon placed in the hands of the 'temperance army.' The fund of information it contains will inspire the advocates of temperance to work with greater zeal, and it will lead many who are now halting and indifferent to take a firm stand for the temperance cause. The testimony it gives from many of the world's greatest physicians, statesmen, prison officials, and ministers of the gospel is of great value, and can not fail to make a profound impression upon those into whose hands the book may fall. The statistics, poems, songs, and suggestions relating to temperance meetings will be very helpful to those whose hearts yearn to do something to advance the cause of true temperance. --A. G. Daniels, from the Introduction
