Donna grew up running wild 'round the mountains of southern Africa and the lakes of Ontario, and avidly reading anything on which she could get her hands. Later on, she earned her Master's degree, in part by studying how children learn vocabulary and to tell stories. And then, having children of her own, she started writing stories for them based on their experiences. Now, whenever the family cat allows her use of the keyboard, she continues to write, inspired by exploring outdoors and finding just the right way to express ideas.
