Janice Garden Macdonald is the author and illustrator of more than a dozen children's books, including the bestsellers "The Red Sweater" and "Jane's Jeans". She worked in the publishing industry for many years as a representative, library consultant and bookstore manager. She is the recipient of a dozen writing awards in different genres including the Zoetrope short fiction award judged by Joyce Carol Oats and the Moondance Film Festival award for an animated screenplay. During her time as a bookstore owner, specializing in children's books, she discovered her love of writing and illustration.
