The series is a collective work of about one hundred coleopterists from Europe, Japan, America, and Australia.

Autorenporträt
Dariusz Iwan, Dr. (1993), Museum and Institute of Zoology Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland, is Professor of entomology and Head of the Zoological Museum. He has published monographs and over 150 entomological papers. Ivan Löbl, Dr. (1968), Curator emeritus, Muséum d'histoire naturelle, Geneva, Switzerland. He has published monographs and over 350 entomological papers and was co-editor of the previous volumes of the Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleptera.
