Job retention is one of the challenges facing many employees and their employer organizations. This books highlights the effect of terms of service on job retention for academic staff basing on evidence from Makerere University- Uganda. Among many factors that determine intentions for lecturers to retain their teaching jobs in universities, the author asserts that satisfaction with employment contract is important for job retention among university lecturers. He also went on to highlight the importance of remuneration in job retention for lecturers. Finally, the authors reports on the importance of job security as far as job retention is concerned.
