The book attempts to analyze the regional development policies of the United Kingdom, being the early EU member, and Turkey, actively seeking EU membership since 1957, and their certain effects of the policy implementation in the local level. This work intends to show the management capacities of given countries in tackling the disparity problems in certain territories. The research tends to propose some policy recommendations to the policy makers of Trabzon in the light of the progress made by Glasgow.
