In the present book I wanted to bring to teachers, both in training and in practice, a conception of education in values of territorial identity aimed at the process of research and transformative learning, which is well developed on the main postulates of the Great Teacher of America Simon Rodriguez in his book Lights and Social Virtues, written in the city of Concepción (1834), also from the Historical-Cultural Approach whose central figure was L. S. Vygotsky (1987), in addition to Research as an Alternative to Teaching (undated), whose author is Tonucci Francesco, the work presented includes the application of these postulates to our Venezuelan teaching practice, to the systematization that has been carried out in this sense by different authors in our country and abroad, as part of years of research work that has allowed us to build our own model of this concept in the field of liberating and emancipatory education, in which the best experiences and traditions of Venezuelan schools are also inserted.
