Lee G. Harvey, a transplant from a holler in the Smoky Mountains, has built a successful life in her adopted state. After struggling to make her mark in a number of different fields, including microbacteriology, she succeeded in breaking the tradition that only men should be in the construction trades. She is licensed by the state of California as a general contractor, electrical contractor, and landscape contractor. She is also a certified California Nurseryman, real estate broker, and property manager. She was a Director for the California Apartment Association, one of the founders of CACM, and President of the San Diego Apartment Association. She loves public speaking, and has toured for several years. At 91, she's still working, and waiting for the next chapter.She is currently working on a new novel, "Rider Up, Handicappers Down".
