Francisco Palemón Arcos stammt ursprünglich aus Acatlán, Gemeinde Chilapa, Guerrero. Er studierte an der Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN CDMX) und am Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS, CDMX).
