Autorenporträt
Author Jeannie Morrison Walton is pictured in a field of Texas Bluebonnets. She is a retired Texas teacher who has taught in Alief, Houston, Coldspring, Huntsville, and Dallas, Texas. It was while she was teaching that she first noticed that many of the leaders in WWII were Texas born. Jeannie first visited the Japanese Peace Garden, next to Fredericksburgs Nimitz Steamboat Hotel, in 1979. She is currently a member of the Admiral Nimitzs Society, Dallas Historical Society, and was named the Volunteer of the Year for the Texas Hall of State in Fair Park She has two children and five grandchildren who all live in Texas. Although retired from teaching, she remains active in Girl Scouts, traveling, dancing, and the arts. Her other books include The Little Lemur, a Fable of Pride and The Kings Nose, an Ecological Fairy Tale . She can be contacted at jeanniemorrisontoday@gmail.com.
