Born in 1982 in Tunis, Thameur Mejri graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Tunis. In his initial abstract paintings, Thameur Mejri inserts figurative elements. The human figure finds a predominant place by its recurrence. By establishing an atmosphere of confrontation, the artist manages within a single work to transcribe the impetuosity of his gesture while creating a suspended chaos where the complexities of human existence appear to everyone. This book is the artist's first monograph and provides a better understanding of the discovery of these particularly immersive large formats.
