Born, raised and living in Auckland, NZ, Cheyney McDonnell's passion for art and design lead her to study a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design. Cheyney has worked in the design industry for the last 10 years and currently works as the boss of her own business - Design by Cheyney. It has always been her dream to illustrate a children's book. The story of Thank You for Feeding Freckle, Cheyney's first children's book, evolved from a lifetime observing and researching kitties as a cat-owner/lover as well as a cat-sitting experience. Freckle is a mixture of that cat and Cheyney's own cat, Bossy.
