Each page describes how one goes on living when faced with grief, anxiety, depression, and the weight each brings - when every morning is full of feeling happy and sad at the same time. The present era is satin, but surges of sadness from these chronic difficulties mean that every day, you see the violets that surround you and must decide whether to feel safe or unsafe within them. The poems in this collection are a reminder that someone sits in the violets with you.
