This book is about the American freedom and spirit. What each person in this country can be or become, no matter what back ground there is. Each one can become his or herself. Nobody gets intimidated by a higher ranking person or authority. This book shows how the author came into this country unknown and fell in love with the USA. It is written very personal. U.R. explains the challenges she encountered in moving from Germany to a whole new world. From being very prejudice she fell in love with the lifestyle. From culinary to cultural differences this book compares the adjustments the author and her family made in order to assimilate into the American society. Through the freedom and encouragement she found in her new land, she found herself, be herself and discovered a real relationship with God. In Germany it is still a society of different levels while in America everybody can become what they are and what they want. Nobody looks down or up, nobody judges another person.
