This is the story of a man who refused to quit - in time. A ordinary man who had at one time or another in his life, and often all at the same time, developed a passion for lovely women, automobiles, cigarettes and alcohol. "And what is wrong with that?" George would ask. From afar a voice might have answered, "Nothing, as long as you don't take them all too seriously." George Willets was born in Fullerton, CA on May 13 1939, where he lived, on and off, for the next seventy years. The rest of his years wer spent in Northern California. In each place her owned and ran a professioal car striping business. From a very early age he had a passion for smoking interspersed with a healthydesire to drink. The latter addiction he overcame at a reasonably early age, but smoking took him a little longer. At school he was an athlete, playing hard, running hard: and that is the way he played his life. Cancer of the larynx was detected later in life and treated as successfully as they could with Chemo and radiation.
