Jill Hughes Gandy was raised by her beloved parents, Bob and Barbara Hughes, in the small town of Athens, Texas along with her older sister, Holli. At the young age of 13 years old, her family moved to Norman, Oklahoma where she graduated from Norman High School in 1993 and the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's in Science in Microbiology in 1999. She is married and has two children. She currently resides in North Texas.
