Is there such a thing as spontaneous meditation? The 7-Hour Experiment came out of the author's spontaneous decision to ask the question "Who am I?" and to sit in meditation for seven hours to discover a possible answer. The thoughts, insights, and emotions of those seven hours became the source material for this book. By combining those meditation experiences with images created through her lifelong love of photography, Sandy Weatherall has created a book that is a personal yet relatable meditation journey and a work of art.

Autorenporträt
I stand on my head every day and jump out of planes whenever I get the chance. Viewing the world from a different perspective allows me to see life in a different way. Although I pursue a career as a food photographer, I have always had an innate knowing that I was supposed to write. In photography school, I was required to take an English Writing class. My instructor asked me to consider writing as my path. Thirty years later, I finally decided to follow that path. After loss is when the words really start to come. I feel writing doesn't come from me but through me, for when I surrender to what is, the words appear. Exercise keeps my body and mind healthy. Yoga (including standing on my head) feeds my soul. I was born and raised in Camrose, Alberta, Canada and currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Sandy Weatherall
