If the purpose and the reason for existence of the major religious organizations is to promote good and avoid evil, they have all drastically failed. Why haven't the various organized religions (Catholic, Orthodox, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, etc.) publicly taken a moral stand on the militarization of the police, the increase of nuclear weapons, enhanced interrogation, drone murders, snipers, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Libya, Ukraine, Egypt, and Palestine, the devastating sanctions on Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, Syria and North Korea; telling their followers to cease and desist from such practices? It seems as though all organized religions have lost the understanding of what is truly important in life and what is absolutely necessary to go to Heaven, and that is living a good life, a good life meaning loving your neighbor (all neighbors) as you love yourself. Living a good life transcends all the practices, beliefs, and rituals of all organized religions. The real reason why Pauline Christianity (not the Christianity of Jesus), Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism have failed as religions is that they are all false religions and man-made religions. They were all founded by men, not God, and are based on myths, legends, and distorted understandings of God and His nature. And their leaders arrogantly and falsely claim that they speak in the name of God The members of these religions need to stop and question the motives of their clergy and whether their rituals, practices, sacraments, and beliefs are really leading to a good life and a better world for all people. Dale Anthony Pivarunas is also the author of the book "Christian Economics, the Integration of Capitalism, Socialism and Laborism" published by Wipf and Stock.
