Sage Ong won the first prize in her District (Bukit Timah Constituency)'s 2021 Essay Competition on Racial Harmony in Singapore and published a book of poems "Poetry Paradise" with proceeds going to children charities. Sage grew up reading Enid Blyton, JK Rowling, Chris Colfer, Tui T. Sutherland and nearly all the Rainbow Fairies series. Hogwart's sorting hat sorted her as a Ravenclaw with a sparrow patronus. Based in Singapore with her parents, a pet alpaca Rosella Dainty-Ears and pet llama Willow Silverbirch, The Academy For Young Royals (Copper Level) is her first novel.
