The military-political crisis in Côte d'Ivoire, which began on September 19, 2002, led to the displacement of many people to Yamoussoukro. The actions of the Red Cross in Yamoussoukro consisted of emergency care, disease control and protection of unaccompanied children. In the field, the Red Cross of Côte d'Ivoire, through its local committee, has been confronted with numerous difficulties in terms of human resources, materials and finances. Faced with these difficulties, the staff had to limit its field of action (reception site for refugees at the Mié N'gou center and hospital) and adapt to the realities of the field. One of the actions of which the volunteers of the Red Cross are proud, is undoubtedly the help for unaccompanied children.
