The book reports the work done as an actor-creator, in the collective creation process of the show "Ensaio para o Fim", in a constant dialogue and creative interpellation with the director. The aim was to understand how the technical and artistic tools of the actor liberate or condition him and how, starting from a collective creation for the construction of an original work, and after it is structured, actor and director redefine their roles so that the representation of the work contains in itself the interpretations of both, director and actor. The following questions were posed: In what ways does the actor free himself from his vision as creator to accept what he is? How do we stop being a "sender", to become a "message"? Through the diary notes and the visualization of the videotaped archive documentation of meetings and rehearsals collected throughout the process it was possible to conclude that, by developing the flexibility present in this relationship of permanent negotiation, a deeper vision of the director and co-creator was achieved, translating into significant gains, from the dramaturgical point of view and the production of multiple meanings, which we had both outlined.
