Erin Sponaugle is a 5th grade teacher at Tomahawk Intermediate School in Hedgesville, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Shepherd University and West Virginia University. In 2014, Erin was recognized as the West Virginia Teacher of the Year, an adventure that took her to schools and colleges across the state, as well as to the White House to meet the president. In her spare time, she has always enjoyed reading, writing, and most of all, drawing. Erin has lived her entire life 90 minutes from the nation's capital in Martinsburg, West Virginia, where she lives today with her husband and two ferociously funny felines. This is her first children's book.
