For the past two years since his retirement Drew has spent his time writing. Drew had already published The Adventures of Harry Alliss and set about writing the sequel to it. It's always challenging to write short stories as they all need to be unique, with a variety of new ideas to be thought up and worked on. Drew admits that this is a most rewarding and creative experience that anyone could possibly want to pursue, especially now that he can dedicate his time to it. It still makes Drew warmly reflect that had it not been for his eldest daughter's insistence on writing these stories that she listened to when she was a child at bedtime, none of this would have happened.
