Meredith's other notable works include The Shaving of Shagpat (1856), Farina (1857), and Evan Harrington (1861). Throughout his career, he developed a reputation for his intricate character studies and exploration of human nature. Meredith's influence extended well into the 20th century, and his work remains a key part of Victorian literature.
