Originally from Houston, Texas, Alex Sandlin debuts as a children's book author with a heartwarming story inspired by his own life. As a father of two wonderful boys, Mick and Weston, Alex has woven their daily adventures and brotherly bond into the characters of 'Mickle the Pickle' and his brother, Gherkin. What started as a playful nickname for his son Mick soon turned into a story idea when Mick proposed his dad write a book about their antics. Although new to writing, Alex captures the essence of childhood wonder and the special relationship that siblings share. Away from the writing desk, he loves traveling and embarking on real-life adventures with his wife Allison and their sons. Alex's debut reflects his deep love for his family and his knack for telling engaging stories that resonate with both children and parents alike.
