In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Colonel Assimi Goïta took control of Mali and put an end to France's idiotic practices, starting in May 2021. Burkina Faso's neighbors followed suit in January 2022. The first military coup of 2022 was interrupted by that of Captain Ibrahim Traoré in September of the same year. Since that date, the security of the zone has been assured, and with promising results, despite the simultaneous attacks generated by the idea of minting money and their joint exit from ECOWAS. This reaction by the ESA states seems to have fundamentally affected France's economic and budgetary system.
