There is a great deal of progress yet to be achieved in the area of dyslexia in Arabic, as little has been published about manifestations of dyslexia in this language. A review of the literature revealed that very few studies have examined training tools from the perspective of Arabic-speaking individuals with dyslexia and focused on the needs of this population. Therefore, this research proposes a novel framework, the Arabic Framework for Dyslexia Training Tools (AFDTT), for identifying the important elements for inclusion in Arabic dyslexia training tools, taking into consideration features of the Arabic language and related cultural factors, which account for the unique needs of Arabic-speaking individuals with dyslexia. The context of this research is educational training tools for training Arab students with dyslexia in Arabic literacy. The AFDTT is expected to contribute to the development of Arabic teaching technology for individuals with dyslexia. It represents a promising step towards the establishment of improved understanding and consideration for the unique needs of this population.
