Acceptable ways of living do not always cross cultures. To have been raised in a society that is dependent on the growth of the opium poppy will not educate you to live in the West unless of course, you bring that with you. The consequent clash between your new life and that of old will lead to desperate measures to stay away from the law. The story unfolds with the emigration of one family from the fields of Helmand province to the urban fields of cities in Britain.
