This present study was an investigation on how age influence learner development of vocabulary of a second language among 127 participant studying beginning English. The younger group seems to do better on average that the older one. However, the Mann-Whitney tests do not show any significant difference. A multiple regression analysis between fluency and acquisition, along with a tabulation of a correlation coefficient and the ANOVA test revealed a significant linear relationship between fluency and acquisition, explaining fluency along 25.7% of the variability. The Spearman rho coefficient shows significant values of correlation using the perceived level of English.
