Joakim Lloyd Raboff was born in Santa Monica, California, in 1963. He has been a freelance writer, filmmaker, photographer, and visual arts consultant for the majority of his professional life. As a teenager in the late 1970s, Joakim relocated to his mother's native Sweden, but he has also lived and worked in Spain, Thailand, Portugal, as well as in his native USA. Joakim has produced and contributed to dozens of books, and his portfolio showcases a variety of creative projects commissioned by Swedish and international brands and organizations, including the United Nations in New York. Each project is a reflection of Joakim's deep engagement with the subjects he focuses on. His own personal experiences with aging played a pivotal role in the creation of this book.
