Qatar has experienced significant growth in its real estate industry. Some firms maintained consistent strategies and senior management while others saw a revolving door of CEOs and strategies. This raised questions about how these differences affected financial performance. There is a substantial body of research that shows alignment between strategy and structure improves organization performance. To successfully implement strategy, organizations should effectively align their employees, leadership, culture communications and systems. This research study explored how alignment between strategy and structure in the Qatar real estate industry affected financial results. Data was collected and analyzed on four companies: Company A, Company B, Company C and Company D (Property Division). The study found that better aligned organizations outperformed organizations that were not well aligned. The study recommends further research on a much larger scale and with expanded measurement tools to address more areas that affect organization alignment.
