Autorenporträt
Mexican Cat was originally inspired by her son's beloved cat "beany" toy, who had the same name (don't ask why, it's just what kids do!). He was unfortunately lost on holiday one year, so the family made up adventure stories about his travels across the world and telling those became a regular part of the bedtime routine. He became quite the character! Libby started writing the Mexican Cat Series to break the boredom of long-haul plane journeys and sitting in airport lounges, which was an all too regular requirement as part of her day job. Being able to escape into the world of Mexican Cat, his magical hat, and the friends he met along the way, was a wonderful antidote to the normal ways of travelling the world. Mexican Cat is her first writing endeavour and although currently working in finance and living in Essex, she dreams of one day being able to be a full-time writer, give up the day job, and move to Cornwall, with her two children, husband, and vintage VW Campervan.
