Organ Company, a New England organ building and
rebuilding company. The purpose of the research was
to collect, examine, and document information
pertaining to the technologies and operational
procedures from 1949 to 2000.
Data were collected by conducting interviews
with the Andover executives and employees, by
examining the Andover archives, and by using
questionnaires sent to four categories of
respondents. Results support the following
conclusions.
Andover has conducted business and
maintained a continuous growth pattern, attending to
their ideals and goals of producing instruments
according to historic standards and their self-
imposed principles of excellence. Andover is an
exemplary firm that serves as a model in the
industry, not only because they construct quality
products, but also because of the way in which they
conduct business; thus, earning respect,
appreciation, and admiration through the years.
