The present work is intended to disseminate more findings related to the influence of both warm-waters current in north and cold-waters current in south of the Angolan coast, including the presence of the Benguela front between 14-16 degrees south on the distribution of the marine resources along the coast. The importance of the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem (BCLME) is reflected from the considerable variety of biodiversity including fish, mammals, seabirds. This aspect has influenced enumerable scientific research activities, mainly related to biology and oceanography along the Angolan coast. These studies have revealed that due to high fishing pressure most of the commercial important species are being depleted, causing significant changes in its distribution patterns and feeding behavior. In this work two important commercial species Dentex macrophthalmus (Large eye dentex) and Merluccius poli (Benguela hake) were considered to promote its respective sustainable use.
