Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mark Hodermarsky taught English for forty years before his recent retirement. His latest book, The Animals, will be his seventh. Hodermarsky has produced many articles on a variety of subjects, served as a book critic for the (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, and been a copy editor. Good writing, travel, music (especially rock and roll), craft beer, baseball, birding, and discovering new restaurants are primary interests. But it is within the company of friends and family that brings him the most joy. He is married to Lynda with whom he has two adult children and three lovely grandkids.
