The thesis of this study is that the concept of "charismata" in the Pauline Corpus provides principles to inspire the church to meet the challenges presented to her in this century. Two gifts are explored namely Apostle and Prophet exegetically within the context of the Pauline writings and modern evangelical theologians to critically probe for an answer as to whether the gifts of Apostle and Prophet still continue, or have ceased with the completion of the Canon.

Prof. Dr. Godfrey Harold is a Senior Lecturer at Cape Town Baptist Seminary(SA) and a Senior Fellow at BH Carroll Theological Institute (USA). He holds a Th.D in NT Studies and a Ph.D in Systematic Theology. He is the Associate Minister at Athlone Baptist Church (SA). Godfrey is married to Patricia and they have a daughter named Odelle Amy.
