Autorenporträt
The author lives on his farm in Bryenton. His apple orchard slopes southerly to the main Southwest Miramichi River. It is commonly known as McAllister Farm and a favorite spot for families in apple season. He likes to welcome people who drop in and sometimes share a glass of his home made. Although he enjoys farming it is only considered a hobby farm with fruit trees and animals. All his life he has had to supplement his hobby with various jobs as opportunity allowed. As a result, he, like many other self employed men of the area, has gathered a vast knowledge from working in the woods and at the mill, driving heavy equipment and building houses. He is currently working for his son-in-law building a new house. He plans to keep working as long as his health allows.
