Autorenporträt
Janet Hubbs was born in Brooklyn, New York, and educated in the New York public school system. She attended Westminster College (BA degree) in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and Syracuse University (MA degree) in Syracuse, New York. She was also the recipient of an NEH Mid-Career Fellowship at Princeton University. She is retired from Ocean County College, where she served as a professor of English for thirty-five years and then as Assistant to the President for Institutional Effectiveness for ten years. She lives on the Jersey Shore and has a cottage on Cape Cod. Her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons live in Connecticut. She is the author of a critical study of the poet Richard Wilbur of two novels, Syracuse and Grace, and of a collection of poems, A Year at the Shore.
