UNICEF began its activities in Myanmar in April 1950, two years after the country gained its independence. Year by year, UNICEF extended its activities in the fields of social welfare, education, health, safe water supply and environmental sanitation. Under the education, there is a need to help children how to learn and promote the life, solve problems and practice healthy living. In the areas of child health, significant progress has been achieved primarily through strengthening primary health care services for all children. Myanmar is needed financial and technical assistance to promote the socioeconomic status of the country. So, UNICEF has also funded many kinds of assistance through several programmes and many projects. Finally this research will find out the effective and weakness of the UNICEF activities in Myanmar.
