This book draws on the authors experiences of growing up in an upper middle class family in Nigeria in the midst of tumultuous family relationships and without a father in the picture. Having relocated overseas, her corresponding life choices, challenges and extenuating circumstances along the way. It features on her struggles to fit in and be accepted in the Australian working class society as a black minority female. This book was birthed as a result of her varied experience in dealing with culture shock, bias and an unfamiliar breed of systematic racism as a modern and black minority woman living in the 21st century first world country down under
