The history of mortals 'seeking and saving' the "lost" is frightening. The "New Testament" has been transmitted thousands of times since the mid-1st century CE. Moreover, serious academics have evidence that two-thirds of it was forged and/or falsely attributed. The so-called "Good News" boils down to mostly deceitful texts under cover of unquestioned legend. In fact, one can find six different religions-and, one "revelatory" book, of which Eusebius Pamphilius, a 3rd century CE biblical scholar wrote, "...Cerinthus also, by means of revelations which he pretends were written by a great apostle, brings down marvelous things which he falsely claims were shown him by angels..." What does the modern seeker do amidst this chaos? What is the authentic text? Where is this Good News? This author has navigated sexism, anti-Semitism, power grabs, and mighty egos. The authentic Good News, from the original Greek, can be found in less than one-third of the traditional text, and in largely unknown sources called "K" and "Q". The rest should be deposited in the Monday morning trash. If the truth were simply discoverable in the news, the internet, or even the marketplace known as Church, then why does the world look and act the way it does? Was the Truth not compelling? Or, is the Truth not present? Take this journey through this well-researched, well-cited, intellectually provocative, and religiously irreverent spiritual quest. This author discovered a whole new world: the history of what, and why, people believe. This author implores the reader to discover the actual and authentic Good News.
