Kevin Rudd is Australia's ambassador to the United States. He was Prime Minister of Australia (2007-2010), then Minister for Foreign Affairs (2010-2012), before becoming Prime Minister again in 2013, president and CEO of Asia Society, and chairman of the Asia Society Policy Institute (2015-2023). Rudd speaks Mandarin and has an excellent knowledge of Chinese leaders, including Xi Jinping, with whom he has met many times. Kevin Rudd est ambassadeur d'Australie aux Etats-Unis. Il a été Premier ministre de l'Australie (2007-2010), puis ministre des Affaires étrangères (2010-2012), avant de redevenir Premier ministre en 2013, président-directeur général de l'Asia Society et président de l'Asia Society Policy Institute (2015-2023). Kevin Rudd parle le mandarin et a une excellente connaissance des dirigeants chinois, dont Xi Jinping, avec qui il s'est entretenu de nombreuses fois.
