A detective with Scotland Yard's Special Branch is unexpectedly brought in to support a British Secret Service operation in the Balkans. For MI6, he was in the right place at the right time. For Detective Jason Black, it was the wrong place and the wrong time. As a long time police officer with special operations experience, Jason Black had to be, not just good cop and bad cop, but also resort to criminal tactics. Pitching himself against agents from the Russian FSB, and Balkans criminal gangland, he has to draw on all is mental and physical strength and stamina to stay alive. "A book to rival the best spy novels! The main character is believable and likeable, and the story pulls you in. I could not put it down and can't wait for another book by John Farrah." "An ingenious and fascinating debut work - a high adrenaline page turner spy novel. Although fiction, the storyline is so credible, it makes one wonder if the dark underground international political forces are based on nonfiction. Jason Black is a complex, authentic and mysterious character and the reader is left with looking forward to uncovering more about his story. The writer is talented and clearly knowledgeable. In addition to riding the waves of high adrenaline during Jason Black's highly intensive and surreptitious journey, you will find authentic descriptions of how the life of a spy may look like as well as detailed accounts of practical strategies and considerations for survival." "The Balkans Protocol by new author, John Farrah, is a suspense espionage novel as good as any by James Patterson, Ian Fleming or John le Carre." "Really enjoyed this book. I'm a big fan of Lee Child and have read all the Jack Reacher books, so figured I'd give this a go. I'm so glad I did as I have found my new favourite author! I can't wait for the next one."
