Rudy learned to play basketball in the alley behind his house where there was a hoop without a net. So, he's a good player and he always makes the team. But, because he's too short, he doesn't play in all the games. And every time he gets the chance to make the 'big shot' he always misses. With catchy, lyrical language and engaging, vibrant illustrations, The Ballad of Rudy Proshoot-o inspires and encourages young children to believe in themselves as they watch Rudy never give up on his dreams.

Autorenporträt
My Friend Wren's real name is Reyn Guyer. It's quite obvious that he likes kids and thinks like a kid, maybe because he and his wife have five kids, ten grandkids, and seven great-grands! Reyn started writing songs at age 15, and has been dreaming up stories and songs for kids ever since. Like Mr. Rogers, Reyn's stories and songs always have a clever point. Like another one of his heroes, Dr. Seuss, Reyn went to Dartmouth College where he majored in English and wrote short stories. His hope is that kids and parents enjoy watching and listening to his stories and songs together.
