MIKE TAPIA is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at New Mexico State University. His teaching and research interests include crime theory, race, and street crimes. He's published work on risk factors in juvenile arrest and Latino arrest and on Latino gang migration. His latest works examine Chicano gang organization in a historical perspective.
