Autorenporträt
RICARDO GOTTSCHALK is an economist with long-term experience in applied quantitative work, international and development finance, banking regulation and macroeconomic policy analysis. He has worked as consultant to the UK Department for International Development, European Commission, G-24, UNCTAD, UNDP, UNRISD and the governments of various sub-Saharan African countries, including the government of Ethiopia, to which he has provided technical assistance on macro-econometric modelling and forecasting. He has co-edited the books International Capital Flows in Calm and Turbulent Times: The Need for New International Architecture (2003) and Inequality in Latin America: Issues and Challenges for the 21st Century (2006). He was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies, UK, between Feb-1999 and April-2009, period during which he did research, published extensively in edited volumes and journals, and was the director of the MPhil Programme in Development Studies (2001-2004) and Convenor of the MA in Globalisation and Development (2008-2009). Currently he holds a Senior Lecturer position at the Middlesex University Business School.
