S. Jean Struewing has lived in Batesville since March 5, 1937, when she was born at Margaret Mary Hospital. She has been the president of the Batesville Area Historical Society for the past eight years, and she has devoted many hours volunteering for the society. Struewing hopes readers will treasure this book as they fondly recall Batesville's past.
